I found this video on YouTube and wanted to share with everyone. It’s a powerful presentation created for Dr. Shadrach Meshach Lockridge’s 1976 sermon describing Jesus Christ. Born in Texas, Dr. Lockridge, was the oldest of 8 children and the son of a Baptist minister. At age 27, he was called into the ministry and served as pastor, evangelist, and lecturer. He held doctorates and honorary degrees from multiple universities and was on the staff of many universities, including the Billy Graham School of Evangelism. He held many positions within the Baptist church, including being elected as the first president of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America. Dr. Lockridge was active in the civil rights movement and hosted events which involved Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Jessie Jackson. Throughout his life, he traveled, preaching and teaching throughout the U.S. He was very active until his retirement in 1993. In 2000, he entered Heaven and met our King. When Dr. Lockridge delivered this powerful sermon in Detroit in 1976, I wonder if he knew how timeless his words would be. His description of Jesus Christ is humbling, inspiring, and exciting.
